In the session, we talk about the widespread list of small to more complex tasks under the heading of ‘outbounding’. Struggling to sell your domains? Our host Page Howe shares his tips & tricks to outbound domains.|
Tackle the simple stuff first!
The task of outbounding can be fun to some, but to most, it can be exhausting, and yet another job to tick off the to-do list. However, it’s not as strenuous as you may think! Outbounding tasks can be as simple as sending a few emails and starting conversations to see if someone wants to buy your domain.
Research is another very important part of the process. If you want to buy or sell domains, you must do your research! A few Google searches, reading the odd article here and there on what’s new and what’s hot in the industry will benefit you as a seller. These are simple tasks that can take you a few seconds to a couple of minutes to complete.
If you’re still struggling to keep at it because you’re not gaining the traction or response you expected, consider who you’re sending those emails out to. Are they potential buyers? Or are you sending those emails out to everyone? Target your audience and choose carefully who will be on the receiving end of your outbound emails.
The lovely negotiation!
Everyone loves a discount, and buyers in the domain industry are no different! Knock off a few dollars and watch how the interest in your domain name increases. Listen to the buyers’ responses, and you’ll have no problem figuring out the right price to sell your domain names!
People will always want to buy them for less than what we want to sell them for! Page Howe
If you’re going to reach out to people and ask them to buy your domain name, you need to build great relationships with your buyers. A great relationship can establish trust and if you have trust between yourself and the buyer, you can confidently communicate the price you want for your domain.
Remember, you’re the one reaching out to them. In their minds, they’re thinking, ‘you better be offering a good deal.’
If you’ve established that relationship, that common ground, and trust, your buyer will be more receptive to your emails, and hopefully won’t come back looking for a cheaper price or deal. Read more here: https://startup.club/tips-tricks-to-outbounding-domains/
