What better day out in the sunshine during peak summer, than a walk around the ‘maize maze’ and sunflower field nestled among the trees just outside of Cardiff?

St Nicholas has their very own patch of sunflowers that tower over anyone eager to forage blindly.

You can get up close and personal with the nine varieties of sunflowers blowing in the wind, fighting for headspace across the field. Brush past the leaves and ferns tickling your legs to find the sunflower staring you in the face, convincing you to take an Insta-worthy selfie.

The patch is a great place to take the kids and get creative picking your own sunflowers without the long car journey to Swansea.

If the sunflowers aren’t your thing, in the next field, you can get lost in the Peter Pan-themed ‘neverland maze’ and pick your own corn-on-the-cob along the trek for £0.75 or get creative and or invest your time into making a Tinkerbell wand in the arts and crafts area, whilst tucking into an ice cream.
