A Bangin’ Burger Joint Is Coming To Cardiff

American-styled burger joint Smokin’ Griddle, or ‘SG’ for short, is opening a new restaurant on Cowbridge Road East on the 16 of August 2021.

Run by two ambitious lads, George and Will, best friends from East London who went 50/50 on the business. The duo’s drive and passion for creating a new and exciting chain shone through in their first investments based in London and Swansea, and they have not stopped since!

George said, “We’ve done lots of pop-ups and street food events in Cardiff to raise our brand presence in the city. We chose [to be situated on] Cowbridge Road East because we feel Canton is a good location to further extend our brand presence in the city, vibrant and up and coming.”

The Smokin’ Griddle Cardiff Instagram page is already off to a great start, with nearly one thousand followers.

The duo posted, ‘We always believe we were diligent and persistent enough to make a successful chain, and amongst the chaos of the last year or so, we’ve found good opportunities, took risks, and capitalised on it.’
